FROM THE TREE TO THE FRUIT AND VICE-VERSA! WE PLANT A TREE FOR EVERY POUCH SOLD
Global warming is an issue we care a lot about. One of its causes is the massive deforestation taking place in developing countries. That’s why we support and fund the nonprofit organization “The Eden project”, which will plant a tree for every packet sold.

No Waste
AGAINST FOOD WASTING
Food waste is a dramatic issue. Every year tons of food, equal to 1/3 od the world production, are thrown in the garbage. We use fruit that would be discarded due to small aesthetic imperfections or size that don’t comply with sales requirements.
AGAINST FOOD SPOILAGE AT HOME
By giving the products a longer shelf life, freeze drying limits the risk of throwing moldy or rotten fruit in the trash.

Less emissions
We mainly source our produce from local farmers.
In so doing we cut down the CO2 emissions due to raw material transportation.

Carbon footprint
We calculated the carbon footprint of our packagings by using LCA (life cycle analysis) guidelines.
Emissions per pouche [1]:
Fruit
0,032 kgCO2
Energy
0,0224 kgCO2
Packaging
0,019 kgCO2
Shipping (and others)
0,011 kgCO2
Total: 84 g CO2/pouche
Every single tree planted captures nearly 12.3 kg of CO2/year [2]. The survival of the tree seeds planted is equal to 80% [3]. This means that each pource helps riduce CO2 emissions by 9.8 kg/year, a much bigger quantity compared to the 84 g required to produce it.
